Golf for Beginners - Miramar

Simon Muckley

Get started with the basics of the short game (putting, chipping, pitching and bunker shots), followed by the fundamentals of set-up and swing. Learn about the equipment, rules and etiquette of this wonderful game. Equipment provided. Simon is a Class A NZPGA Golf Professional.

Outdoor Adventures

Liz Thevenard

An introductory skills development course involving a range of outdoor activities for beginners. Activities will include some of the following group challenges: windsurfing, rock climbing, abseiling, exploring Wellington's walkways, orienteering and kayaking.  An additional charge of $45 to cover equipment hire payable to the tutor on the first evening. **Meet at “Ferg's Rock and Kayak" (on the waterfront behind the Events Centre) on the first night and be prepared to be active (wear track pants and trainers). NOTE: some evening sessions may finish later depending on pool hire and travel.

Windsurfing

An introduction to windsurfing, covering rigging, understanding wind direction, uphauling, turning and safety hints. Spend the morning at the High School and the afternoon at Pauatahanui putting the theory into practice. An additional charge of $45 to cover windsurfer hire payable to the tutor on the day.
