Learn the basics for the practical development of your site: how to choose materials and plan structures such as paths, steps, walls and water features, put in drainage, develop lawns - all will add style and personality to your own garden. A visit to an established garden is included. Bring an A3 pad, pencils, scale ruler (with 1:10, 1:50 and 1:100 scales) and a cup for tea, plus a compass and set squares (if you have them).
