Photography - Beginners

If you want to get the best results for either your film or digital SLR camera, you need to learn the fundamental skills and theory of good photography. If you are starting out with an SLR (Single Lens Reflex) camera then do this course first. Bring your unloaded, fully manual capable, SLR camera and owner's manual to the first session.

NOTE: This course is not suitable for compact cameras.

Photography - Intermediate

Continue your photographic education and learn more techniques in camera use, composition and lighting. Creativity combined with technical know-how is the aim. Not for beginners - you should be competent using your camera in manual mode and be familiar with basic principles of photography (metering, exposure, etc).   This course is not suitable for compact cameras.

Photography - The Portrait (Newlands College)
