A one-day workshop learning techniques of leather working where you’ll be able to create a project of your own to take away.

Description

Leather craft is making a comeback! Join our experienced and highly-skilled leather worker and learn key skills in this hands-on opportunity to create a project from a choice of the following - belt, iPhone wallet, passport cover, plant hanger, coin purse, knife sheath, baby moccasins, dog collar or small box. No machine sewing involved and no experience needed!

  

By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to:
• Identify types of leather
• Cut and pattern leather
• Decorate leather using multiple techniques
• Sew leather using thread or thonging
• Dye leather
• Complete a project to take home

All materials provided but wear closed-toed shoes and old clothing. 

Note:  Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel.
