A continuation of the study of NZSL, overall features of Levels 2A and 2B will include:
- NZSL Literature
- Vocabulary review and definitions
- Narrative structure in storytelling
- Grammar notes
- Advanced sentence structure
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to talk about people in a more abstract way and talk about the environment outside of classroom, i.e. at home or in other parts of the country. You’ll also be able to narrate events that occurred in the past as opposed to telling what is happening currently.
You’ll be able to:
- Ask for solutions to everyday problems
- Tell about life events
- Describe objects (classifiers)
- Talk about weekend activities
Cumulative Reviews - you’ll also learn:
- Appropriate cultural behaviours (for directing and maintaining attention)
- Keeping others informed
- Strategies as in controlling the pace of conversation and resuming conversations after an interruption
