Parents-To-Be (Antenatal Course) (Newlands College) [GS]

Description

For mums-to-be (preferably in your mid-second trimester onwards).  Learn all you need to know about pregnancy care, labour, pain relief, the birth process, breast-feeding, CPR and more. There are five weeks of pre-natal sessions at Newlands College and one post-natal session (at a date to be arranged).

Your support person is welcome, but must enrol and pay separately.

NOTE: This course is subsidised with funding from the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) and for statistical purposes, some additional information is required as part of the enrolment process.  A condition of enrolment on this course is that you will attend at least 80% of the sessions.

Profile

Pauline has been teaching community education for 14 years, initially in Computing then as a Childbirth Educator. She teaches Childbirth classes at three Wellington colleges and also for other businesses in the Wellington area. The course atmosphere is relaxed and fun with a focus on developing friendships through a shared life experience.

 

Qualifications

Pauline gained a Certificate in Childbirth Education from Aoraki Polytechinic in 1999 and a Diploma in Information Technology in 2003.
