We live and work in a wonderful city, and it is a painter’s joy – there is so much to paint, and we can express our feelings about this Capital city. 

We will spend the morning out of the classroom, at various spots around the waterfront, and perhaps in Lambton Quay.  Regardless of what the weather is doing on the day, there are plenty of places to sketch, and paint where we can get shelter from the elements, if needed.

We'll return to the classroom for the afternoon, to go over what we have seen and worked on in the morning, and either finish artworks begun earlier, or work on others.

We’ll consider the views, moods, surprises and lifestyle of the capital in this pre-Christmas period to create an artwork describing the city.

A list of materials to bring (approximate cost $40) will be sent out when course numbers are confirmed.
