These painters were draughtspersons, with superb drawing skills - we’ll explore the works of Dali, Magritte, Kahlo and others and you’ll paint your own work, thinking “outside the square”.

Surrealism officially emerged as an art movement in the 1920’s.  Surrealism aimed to revolutionise life through art and opened new doors of perception.  However, we will also look at some surreal art painted many centuries earlier as well.   Artists like Andre Breton, Salvador Dali, Meret Oppenheim, Rene Magritte and many others, will be discussed and we’ll adopt some of their thoughts and ideas to re-present our visions of art.

Come prepared to have some fun…..and please do bring any reference material you may have which relates to these artists.
