Courses are offered at the following levels:
Level 1 (Beginners) - those with little or no EnglishLevel 2 (Elementary) - those who can understand and use simple English in everyday situationsLevel 3 (Intermediate) - those who can usually understand native speakers and can make themselves understood in unfamiliar situationsLevel 4 (Upper Intermediate) - those who generally speak with confidence and accuracy but need to develop fluency and the use of idiomatic languageExtension (Advanced) - those who are fluent in most contexts but who may need support in specific, more challenging, areas.
If you’re not sure of your level, please phone the CEC office on 04 385 8919.
Please note that you do not automatically progress through the levels. Your tutor will advise when you are ready to move up.
