Make Christmas-themed decorations to decorate cupcakes and cakes for the festive season. Most ingredients provided.
Impress your family and friends with your beautifully decorated Christmas cakes and cupcakes. You’ll develop skills using rolled fondant to cover cakes, learn to make light and fluffy buttercream icings in a variety of flavours, as well as tips for piping using different nozzles.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have the knowledge and skill needed to create delicious decorative cupcakes and cakes for Christmas and be able to:
• Make a variety of Christmas-themed decorations
• Ice a cake with rolled fondant
• Make Italian meringue buttercream
• Pipe icing neatly on to cupcakes using different nozzles
• Decorate a cake or cupcakes ready for Christmas
Most ingredients provided as part of the fee but bring a round or square cake (20cm in diameter), two containers to take cakes home, an apron, two tea towels and a dishcloth. The cake needs to be a firm cake (e.g. fruit or chocolate – sponges won’t be suitable for this workshop).
