Cooking: Indian Breads and Pickles

Forget the overpriced roti at the supermarket! Make your own delicious Indian breads and match them with delicious pickles.


Learn how to make roti (chapati) and naan and add delicious fillings and flavours, including nuts, vegetables, garlic, lentil and more, along with tasty Indian pickles on the side.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
• Make basic roti (chapati) and naan from scratch
• Add a range of fillings to create different dishes
• Feel more confident using a range of flours (pea, rice, wholemeal and bajra)
• Make a range of traditional Indian pickles

Some ingredients provided but a list of additional things to bring (approximate weekly cost $20) will be sent out when course numbers are confirmed. Bring an apron, dishcloth, tea towels and containers to take any leftovers home. 

Note:  Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel.
