Join a 3-time NZ Cup Stacking champion in a fun session which introduces you to the basics of the sport, how to do it and the benefits of brain-stimulating activities.
Cup stacking (also known as sport stacking or speed stacking) is an individual and team sport that involves stacking specially designed plastic cups in specific sequences in as little time as possible – it’s an exciting hobby that’s gaining in popularity and which is easy to do and very rewarding.

This short course will teach you the basics of stacking, with a particular focus on the benefits of brain-stimulating activities and promote the recognition of the importance of challenging yourself and your brain while also having fun!
By the end of the session, you’ll be able to:
• Describe the basic history of stacking
• Recognise and discuss the benefits involved with stacking and other brain-stimulating activities
• Perform the three sequences (3-3-3, 3-6-3, Cycle)
• Demonstrate the skills acquired by timing yourself under competition rules
