Learn how to make chocolate bonbons, truffles and other confectionery at home with user-friendly techniques and recipes, and perfect your chocolate tempering skills.

Description

Ever thought of making chocolate confections to give to family and friends, but fear the ‘difficult’ process of tempering chocolate? Well, not any more. You’ll learn at least two methods for perfectly tempering different types of chocolate and how to make confections dipped in chocolate.

You’ll hand-roll French truffles and develop your own recipe for hot chocolate with fluffy marshmallows. At the end of this delicious and chocolaty course, we’ll make chocolate decorations to give an extra edge to your baked products and even practise writing with chocolate!

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
• Temper chocolate at home with confidence
• Make chocolate bonbons
• Make candy and confections
• Make classic French truffles
• Make hot chocolate with different flavours
• Pipe chocolate as decoration

Most ingredients provided but bring pen and paper, apron, tea towels, a dish cloth and containers to take your chocolates home. The tutor will advise you each week what you need to bring for the following class (approx. cost $20 for the course).
