Samoan - Introductory 2

For those who have completed Samoan - Introductory 1 recently or have equivalent knowledge. [ Course fees: Course is free If you are a NZ citizen or hold a NZ Resident/Permanent Resident Visa (evidence of eligibility is required).

Description

For those who have done Introductory 1 (16 hours) or have equivalent knowledge e.g. who may have picked up some basic survival language through travel.

By the end of the course, you will: 
• Build on the language and grammar skills learned in the Introductory 1 course
• Have sufficient grammar and vocabulary to conduct a basic conversation in Samoan on everyday topics
• Be able to describe and use (at a basic level) correct sentence structure in Samoan
• Be able to describe traditional Samoan protocols and use these in practice 

NOTE: This course is subsidised with funding from the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) and for statistical purposes, some additional information is required as part of the enrolment process.

A condition of enrolment on this course is that you will attend at least 80% of the sessions. The first time you enrol, you'll need to provide your National Student Number (NSN) or, if you don't have one, bring a copy of your passport or birth certificate as proof of your NZ citizenship or residency to the first session.

Note:  Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel.
