Photography - Portraits
A hands-on course that will help you get to grips with the basics of good portrait photographs. Includes a Saturday field trip.
Description
Are you the one who always has to take the photographs of family, friends or workmates? Or are you just interested in taking better portraits? We'll cover everything from different styles of portraiture, equipment and lighting to location, environmental and group portraits.
You'll need to have completed a Beginners’ course or be experienced using your camera in manual exposure mode. Includes a Saturday field trip - check individual courses for details.
A condition of enrolment is that you must provide photo ID when you attend, unless you have already provided your NSN number at the time of registration (in which case photo ID is not required).
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
• Take location, environmental and group portraits
• Compose successful portraits and describe what makes them successful
• Demonstrate the use of effective lighting
• Take effective portraits of children and adults
Note: Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel. We'll let you know by email so please check yours regularly.
