Calligraphy - Modern Lettering

Description
Lettering is a free art form of drawing letters by hand without too many rules that creates a visually appealing layout to showcase a message.
In this four-session course, you’ll learn the basics of calligraphy-style writing and fun techniques that use everyday tools to achieve beautiful typography art.
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
• Identify and recreate calligraphy style fonts with basic tools
• Create layouts that are cohesive and fill the page with your lettering
• Stylise letter forms using pencil, ballpoint pens, Crayola markers, brush pens and watercolours
Bring pen and paper – other items to bring for later sessions (approx. cost $30) will be discussed at the first session.
