"How to Get a Job" is a 5-week course which will teach you how to apply for jobs, how to prepare CVs in English, and how to successfully undertake job interviews in New Zealand.
You will have the opportunity to practice the spoken and written English needed to communicate effectively with New Zealand employers a well as gaining basic knowledge of your employment rights in the workplace.
During the course you will learn:
- How to write an effective English CV
- How to present yourself and successfully answer interview questions with confidence.
- Basic English workplace vocabulary
- Various ways of looking for a job in New Zealand

The course is held at the Karori Community Centre, 7 Beauchamp Street, Karori, and is free for NZ residents and citizens but you must provide proof of your residency when you enrol.

NOTE: This course is subsidised with funding from the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) and for statistical purposes, some additional information is required as part of the enrolment process. A condition of enrolment on this course is that you will attend all sessions. You must also provide evidence of NZ citizenship or residency, if applicable.
