Be guided by award-winning fibre artist Yula Cozy as you learn to make beautiful pure wool felt. Through this fibre art, learn how to exercise your creativity using ancient yet simple technology. Felting is an easy craft to start, it is quick to master, and you will get the pleasure of being able to create a stylish felted flower (simple or multi-layered), small shawl or scarf for you to enjoy, or gift to friends and family.

Wet felting is very kind to beginners who are learning new techniques.  All you need is wool, soapy water and the strength of your own hands. With these three things you can turn fibres into a stable, soft and environmentally-friendly felted fabric.

It is important to Yula is that no animal suffers as part of her creative practice. Felting for her is one that is life focused and respects the lives of the animals whose fibre she uses to make her art. This positive intention is central to not only the fibre art she creates, it also plays an important part in how she approaches her role as a tutor.

Please bring some images of items you like, these will be used as colour inspiration (ie clothing item, home decor item) and will  be helpful when choosing your colour combinations for your project.
