Computing: Basic Windows 10 and Edge

Working in Windows, learn how to identify features of the desktop and left and right menus and pin items to the task bar.

Description

Working in Windows, learn how to identify features of the desktop and left and right menus and pin items to the task bar.

You’ll discover how to move tiles (apps) around the desktop and customise the background.  Explore how to use Favourites and task view and change the background images as well as create Libraries and add items to Collections.

Note: All computer courses are run in the school computer labs and you are required to use the school desktops for the duration of the course (you are not able to use your own laptop).  Some of the courses may require you to login onto the network.

By the end of the class you'll be able to:

  • Demonstrate how to customise Windows 10 and pin items to the taskbar.
  • Move tiles around the Windows 10 screen.
  • Be able to use favourites and collections, use task view and change settings.
  • Create libraries and customise the desktop.

Note:  Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel. We'll let you know by email so please check yours regularly. If you need to cancel your registration, here are our terms and conditions: "What You Need to Know".
