Photography: Edit and Manage your Mobile Phone Photos (Online course)

Create amazing pictures that make you happy, by using Snapseed to edit and publish photos on your Smartphone. Discover an abundance of easy-to-use image manipulation tools and presets, available to use wherever and whenever you have your mobile phone handy! This course is delivered online via Zoom.

Description

This online practical course will quickly get you up and running with Snapseed, which is a free image editor that works well on either Androids or iPhones.

Learn to rescue or enhance your photos by fine-tuning brightness, saturation, contrast, shadows, colour balance and more. You can utilise a wide range of attractive preset filters or go fully manual by taking advantage of powerful tools to change selected parts of the picture. Snapseed provides non-destructive editing for both RAW and JPEG file formats, so you won’t lose the original photo.  Add text, borders, frames or even create composite images to add extra punch and pizzazz to your photos! Turn your phone into a darkroom in your pocket!

The course will also look at time-saving ideas for managing your workflow, organising pictures for easy retrieval, and backing them up to protect your work.

There will also be time dedicated to ideas about composition techniques. This help you to understand why an image may benefit from editing, and what types of edits may provide the best results.

So not only will you learn the ‘how’ of using Snapseed, you will also discover the ‘what’ and the ‘why’.

There ‘where’ and the ‘when’ is up to you!
