Creativity combined with technical know-how is the aim of this follow-on course, aimed at those who are confident using a camera in manual mode and are familiar with basic principles of photography. Includes a Saturday field trip.

Continue your photographic education and learn more techniques in camera use, composition and lighting.

The course is not for beginners - you should be competent using your DSLR or mirrorless camera in manual mode and be familiar with basic principles of photography (metering, exposure, etc). Includes a Saturday field trip - check individual courses for details.

A condition of enrolment is that you must provide photo ID when you attend, unless you have already provided your NSN number at the time of registration (in which case photo ID is not required).

By the end of the course, you'll be able to:
• Describe and demonstrate the concept of exposure
• Determine correct exposure in a variety of situations
• Discuss the emotional qualities of light and composition and their impact on picture making
• Identify and critique technical and emotional elements of a picture and describe their impact 

Note:  Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel.
