Further your practice of the joy and art of improvisation inspired by the generous creative philosophy of Keith Johnstone.
Laugh, play characters, get them into trouble (and out again) and see how your skills translate into confident performance. This is the W.I.T. Level 2 course and a pre-requisite for further courses and membership of W.I.T. (www.wit.org.nz), New Zealand's largest and friendliest improv community. If you have professional improv experience, please contact W.I.T. directly - firstname.lastname@example.org
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
- Create characters and stories in open scenes
- Play and perform several classic improv games
- Stay positive and enjoy failure
- Use improvisation terminology to discuss story, character, comedy, theatre and think about performance (your own and others)
[This is a physical activity that involves an element of risk. While all possible measures are taken to prevent accidents or injury, please note that participation is at your own risk].
Note: Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel. We'll let you know by email so please check yours regularly. If you need to cancel, here are our terms and conditions: "What You Need to Know".
