Indian food is one of the great cuisines of the world and creates robust fully-flavoured vegan dishes. Learn how to create intense and delicious flavours with freshly prepared spices and herbs.
Indian cooking expert, Manjula Patel, has assembled a range of vegan Indian dishes for you to learn and enjoy making and eating. In this practical cooking course, you’ll observe dishes being made by Manjula and then work in pairs to create most of these dishes yourselves.
Please note this is a practical cooking class that will not cover vegan philosophy. Not suitable for people allergic to nuts.
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
• Discuss the flavours and spices used in Indian cuisine
• Know where to purchase ingredients for a selection of vegan dishes and finger food
• Read and follow a range of recipes step-by-step
• Create some classic dishes to try again at home
Approximate weekly cost of ingredients $20 - a list will be sent out when course numbers are confirmed. Bring an apron, dishcloth, and a couple of tea towels and containers to take any leftovers home.
