Simon Fogarty

As a lawyer, Simon spent nearly 20 years working in high-pressure litigation before experiencing burnout. Trying yoga, therapy and medication all helped to some degree. Then he discovered that dysfunctional breathing was keeping him in a constant state of stress. Retraining his breathing had significant benefits, leading him to qualify as a certified instructor so he could teach others to use breathing to rebuild their mental and physical health.
He works primarily with high-achieving professionals who are mentally and physically exhausted. He helps them improve their breathing to build resilience and recover quickly from stressful events.
Simon is an Oxygen Advantage Certified Functional Breathing Instructor based in Wellington.
In addition to his instructor qualification, he holds the Oxygen Advantage certification in Breathing for Females, is a certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute, India), holds a Graduate Diploma in Psychology from Massey University, and a BA (History) and LLM (Hons) from the University of Canterbury.
