Improv for the Stage
Extend your skills in the joy and art of improvisation and step boldly onstage. [For those who have completed the beginner course or have other relevant experience].
Description
Laugh, play characters, get them into trouble (and out again!) and see how your skills translate into confident performance.
This is the WIT Level 2 course and will take your improv that next step beyond the confidence-building of our Joy of Improv, and on into collaborative spontaneous theatre creation.
Suitable for those who have completed a foundation course either with WITor another improv troupe or have some theatrical experience or training.
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
• Create characters and stories in open scenes
• Play and perform several classic improv games
• Stay positive and enjoy failure
• Use improvisation terminology to discuss story, character, comedy, theatre and think about performance (your own and others)
The course will end with a show for invited friends and family.
