Creating new pieces or repairing old treasures can be easy and fun once you know some basic techniques and design skills. You will be able to make 2 types of bracelet, 2 sets of earrings, 2 necklaces and a pendant. All materials included in course fee. All materials included in course fee.

In this engaging one-day course you’ll discover basic techniques suitable for beginners on how to create your own beaded jewellery or revive an old treasure.

During this one-day workshop you will make the following:

A memory wire bracelet (where you will learn how to make a closed loop with wire, combining different sizes and colours of beads to make a pleasing design.)

A 2-strand bracelet with nylon thread (here you'll explore the possibilities of a basic 2-string weaving technique, making a loop and button fastening with beads and discover how to tie a surgeon's knot.)

Two pairs of earrings using headpins and beads (you’ll see how to make a closed wire loop, work with  split rings, make a chain of beads and  attach a readymade earring loop).

Two necklaces - a single strand and a double strand (you'll find out about different necklace lengths and how they work when worn. You’ll see how to combine different shapes and sizes of beads to make a great design. Using crimps you’ll attach the fastener and chain. You’ll also be able to disassemble and restring an existing necklace.)

A pendant using chord and slip knots (learn how to make a pendant using beads and a head pin and find out how to tie slip knots so you can adjust the cord length.)

All materials included in course fee.  Tea and coffee provided, but please bring your lunch and snacks.
