Description

Screen-printing with photosensitive emulsion is a wonderful art technique to experience! We’ll cover everything from preparing screens and mixing emulsion to designing high-contrast artwork, exposing stencils with UV light, and developing crisp images. You'll explore various printing techniques, troubleshoot common issues, and experiment with techniques to create stunning effects.

You’ll leave with a strong foundation in screen-printing, along with your own custom prints on fabric. Plus, you'll gain the confidence to set up your own DIY screen-printing setup at home. Get ready to turn your creative ideas into bold, vibrant prints!

You will need to bring a black and white photocopy of an image or photo, maximum A4 size. Graphic images with good contrast work best for the photosensitive emulsion process.

Practice calico cloth provided in course fee, but you're welcome to bring along a plain 100% cotton item to print on (if you get time) such as T-shirt, pillowcase etc.  Item must be pre-washed and ironed prior to course.

All other materials included in course fee.

Tea and coffee provided, please bring your lunch and pen and paper to take notes.
