In today’s high-pressure world, burnout is often worn as a badge of honour—until the physical and mental toll becomes impossible to ignore. True recovery requires more than just "taking a break"; it requires resetting the nervous system from the inside out.
Led by Simon, a former high-stakes litigation lawyer who successfully navigated his own severe burnout, this workshop bridges the gap between understanding stress and actively healing from it. This practical, evidence-based workshop is designed to take you on a journey from chronic depletion to sustainable balance. You will explore what burnout actually is, identify your personal triggers, and master powerful physiological techniques to pause the stress response, recover your vitality, and return to life and work with renewed resilience.
What We Will Cover
Part 1: Understanding the Burnout Cycle (The Setup)
Before we can fix the problem, we must understand it. We begin by unpacking the foundations of chronic stress to help you map your own journey.
- What is Burnout? Defining the psychological and physical parameters of exhaustion.
- The Root Causes: Identifying the systemic, professional, and personal drivers of chronic stress.
- The Nervous System Hijack: How prolonged pressure traps the body in a constant "fight-or-flight" state, impacting sleep, digestion, and cognitive function.
Part 2: The Science of Physiological Recovery (The Solution)
While mindset matters, burnout lives in the body. We will introduce the fastest, most effective tool for resetting a hijacked nervous system: Functional Breathing Training.
- The Three Dimensions of Health: How biochemical, biomechanical, and psychophysiological breathing patterns dictate your stress levels.

This workshop is designed for adult learners. It is a supportive, respectful space where you are encouraged to engage at your own comfort level and self-manage your energy throughout the day (including taking breaks to decompress as needed).
Please note: The advanced physiological recovery techniques practiced in this workshop are highly effective for nervous system regulation. No prior experience with breathwork or yoga is required.
