Japanese - Introductory 2
For those who have completed Japanese - Introductory 1 recently or have equivalent knowledge. Course fees: Course is free If you are a NZ citizen or hold a NZ Resident/Permanent Resident Visa (evidence of eligibility is required).
Description
For those who have done Introductory 1 (16 hours) or have equivalent knowledge (e.g. who may have picked up some basic survival language through travel).
[Note: You must be a NZ citizen or resident to qualify for the free course fee option. A condition of enrolment is that you must provide photo ID when you attend. If you enrol for this course and then do not attend, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to enrol again for free for a funded course in the future.]
By the end of the course, you'll be able to:
- Understand past tense
- Talk about your experience.
- Talk about what you can do.
- Understand the difference between “いく”, ”くる” and ”かえる”
- Understand the difference between “あげる”, ”くれる” and ”もらう”
- Recognise some counters and 80 kanji.
- Ask and give direction.
Note: Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel. We'll let you know by email so please check yours regularly.
