Leadlighting/Stained Glass

Both beginners and those with some experience are welcome at this hands-on opportunity to create beautiful stained glass items, using traditional techniques. Your materials costs are dependent on the size of your project and the coloured glass content (likely minimum cost around $170). Please wear clothing and footwear suitable for a workshop environment.

Description

Bring along your project ideas and learn the techniques of glass cutting and making stained glass panels. Suitable for both beginners and those with previous knowledge.

NOTE: If this is your first Leadlighting course, you MUST attend the first session when key instruction is given.

(Unsuitable for pregnant people due to presence of lead in some materials)

 Your materials costs are dependent on the size of your project and the coloured glass content (likely minimum cost around $170). Please wear clothing and footwear suitable for a workshop environment.

By the end of the course, you'll: 
• Have designed and constructed a small rectangle/window, lampshade or light catcher 
• Be able to cut glass and assemble leadlighting panels 
• Be able to solder, seal and finish a leadlighting project 

Note:  Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel.
