Microsoft Excel - Beginners

An introduction to this popular spreadsheeting package - basic Windows skills essential.

Description

Learn how to create and use spreadsheets, as well as identify elements of a work book, enter and edit data, generate basic calculations and use built-in spreadsheet functions.

Windows skills essential - this is not a course for absolute beginners to computing.

A condition of enrolment is that you must provide photo ID when you attend, unless you have already provided your NSN number at the time of registration (in which case photo ID is not required).

Note: All computer courses are run in the school computer labs and you are required to use the school desktops for the duration of the course (you are not able to use your own laptop).  Some of the courses may require you to login onto the network.

By the end of the course, you'll have had a basic introduction to using MS Excel, including how to:
• Identify elements of a workbook
• Page setup and printing
• Enter and edit data and basic formatting
• Generate basic calculations
• Use cell references and built-in functions

Note:  Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel. We'll let you know by email so please check yours regularly. If you need to cancel your registration, here are our terms and conditions: "What You Need to Know".
