Come along and learn how to make your very own Roman blind, to give your rooms an elegant and streamlined look.

Clothing must fit well if it's going to look any good. Learn from lifelong tailor, Babu, how you can make alterations to your clothes. Alter trousers, jackets and so much more! Using hand sewing and machine techniques, you’ll see demonstrations of alterations and get a chance to do some of your own. Not for beginners.

Extend the life of your clothes by mending holes, rips and tears in your woven garments, and fixing ladders in your knit garments. Recycle new or old fabrics by incorporating them into your mending (where appropriate). Use your sewing machine to its full advantage and develop a sustainable approach to your wardrobe thus avoiding adding to the landfill! Not for beginners.

Not all sewing is in the making. Whether you are new to sewing or have been sewing for some time, there are always new tips and time-saving tricks to learn (such as how to unpick overlocking efficiently). Step away from the sewing machine and learn some invaluable information on equipment, fabric, patterns and sewing.

Learn professional trouser sewing techniques and the correct process in which to make trousers. Sampling will include a fly front zipper, inseam pocket, waistband application and optional hemming methods. These versatile techniques are applicable to both casual (jeans) and formal wear garments. Not for beginners.

Develop confidence through understanding and using your overlocker as you practise a range of sewing techniques for woven and knit fabrics. Not for beginners.

Bring along your much-loved clothes, make a pattern and get useful tips, techniques and sizing rules. Not for beginners. A list of what else to bring will be emailed out before the course starts.
