Cooking: Singapore Hawker Food

Get a taste of Singapore in our half-day workshop where you’ll make some traditional hawker recipes. Some communal ingredients supplied, a list of other ingredients will be sent out before the course starts (approx cost $35).


Love Singapore Hawker food? Come and discover how to recreate some of these dishes from local ingredients with Mei-Fen, who is passionate about Asian food.

Some ingredients supplied but a list of additional ingredients needed (approximate cost $35) will be sent out when course numbers are confirmed.   NOTE: Nuts  and gluten will be used in some recipes - this course is not suitable for vegetarians.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to:
• Prepare a range of Singapore “hawker” style dishes which may Kueh Dadar, Mee Goreng and Laksa
• Follow the recipes provided and prepare them with supervision
• Prepare the recipes from local ingredients
• Identify retail outlets which supply the specialty ingredients required 

Note:  Our cooking courses are designed to provide a collaborative and immersive learning experience where learners often work in pairs and/or groups. While we wish to create an inclusive environment for all participants, it is important to note that our courses are unable to accommodate specific food allergies or deviate from the preplanned dishes and menus.
